Garmin’s first day out

08 Oct 2009, written by molliechen 6 Comments

A couple weeks ago, Rob and I did an 82-mi loop in New Jersey and (briefly) Pennsylvania. I had brought along my loaner Garmin Edge 705 but, in my early morning haze, neglected to attach the cadence sensors. I also kept forgetting to turn it off and on. So the map is a little off (for one thing it says 75 miles, not the full 82 – I want credit for that distance!) but it’s still pretty amazing. Check it out. I’m excited to play with it on future rides.

Love that the blog is now front and center! Used to have to go searching for it. Mollie, my mom does web design, etc now. Email her at cains@20birds.net. She would be over the moon to help. Her husband, Tony, is great at this stuff too.

Now, I have to go dig some coins up to chip in! :o )

Mollie! It’s soooo cool to follow up on what you’re doing. I like the latest iteration of the site much better too. About had a heart attack when I read about your crash. Don’t do it again, K???

ok – the garmin is pretty cool; we do a ton of biking down here but it didn’t occur to us to be so hightech!
