An evolving project

You may have noticed that our site is looking a little bit ugly. (Okay, it’s hideous). We’re experiencing a growth spurt and we all know the teenage years are not pretty. Basically, you can ignore this post but for website fiddling purposes, I needed my most recent post to have a photo. Voila! Julia Roberts as an awkward teen.
Please excuse our appearance

A moody flick on Vancouver
02 Sep 2009, written by gcampbell 1 CommentsMy first attempts at videography did not go very well (I ended up muting myself because of the number of “ers” and “ums” and “that’s all for now!”), but I patched together some clips from the day I biked to Grouse Mountain, hiked Grouse Grind, zip-lined for two hours, and then biked back to Spokes. My friend Nick was a reluctant camera subject, but he did okay in his Bikes and Biscuits debut.
Mollie and G tackle WordPress
27 Aug 2009, written by gcampbell 2 CommentsSuccess: Mollie and G have created separate accounts and registered as administrators for the bikesandbiscuits blog. Snafu: Even though our private dashboard tells us who wrote which blog post, I can’t figure out how to get the public blog to display the info. Hmm. Tech geeks, please help!
Adventures in Filming: Test Run
25 Aug 2009, written by molliechen 1 CommentsMy first weekend with my Flip. My friends and I quickly realized that battery charging is key, excess coffee makes for shaky hands, and a bit of pre-planning might not be a bad idea. Here, the very rough results – I’m also teaching myself how to use iMovie, hence the non-ending. I’m thinking the learning curve is going to be steep, though. Cinematic genius is just around the corner.

Hey! Check out this super cute clip I took of my friends Hayley and Nalina in New York this weekend. What? It’s sideways, you say? Whoops. Apparently videos are not as easy to rotate as pictures.
UPDATE: You can, indeed, rotate clips in the latest version of iMovie. That’s as far as I’ve gotten…again, learning experience.
